Hello Everyone,
As you may have read about me in the “about us” section of the website , my name is Thomas L Newland.
I am the creator of EcoPoxy Resins, I have personally been in the boating industry for many years,
I was
one of the men who helped develop off shore boat racing and I was also a pilot.

Since developing and using our resins and hardeners to build the hulls, we have yet to see one of them break, this is a big deal in offshore boat racing. The pictures shown are boats built by me with our resin and hardener systems, as you can see some of the pictures are date stamped, this shows how long this product has be used and in its developmental stages.

A lot of people email, call or ask me “where has this product been” well the answer to this question is simple,
I have been working on making the product stronger, greener, less toxic and safe to use in all applications,
I do not only develop build resins and hardeners, I also developed permanent swimming pool coatings, tank coatings, floor coatings and basement coatings that are 100% waterproof.
All of these coatings are manufactured with the same build resins/hardeners
with different additives for different applications. EcoPoxy is the highest grade resin available and is truly the “GREENEST, SAFEST CHOICE”
available in today's marketplace.
I hope you enjoy viewing all of my past work and feel free to
contact me with any questions by email at tnewland@ecopoxysystems.com
Björn Thafvelin from Björn Canoes, Sweden:
I thought I´ll send you some feedback. I have done
the outside of this hull and I will turn and do the inside starting next week.
It has worked fine, it has been easy to apply and it
wet through both layers 2x163 gram/m2 rather easy.
I used a foam roller after I was done with the squeegee to get it even. Then a brush to take some air that the foam roller produce.
Then I have three filler coats on top, I have sanded a little in between.
The foam roller left the handle after a while and it got really hot, there I have to be careful.
It got more a golden yellow than what I get from the other I epoxy I use.
I put pumps in the buckets resin pump 16cc and hardener 8 cc so it has been 1-2 + 3 and 1-2 + 3.
Only smell is from the hardener and just only when mixing.
Then it was no smell, nor heavy air in the room.
In general I am positive this far no hesitation.
Med vänlig hälsning / With best regards

Bob Hellman from Hellman Canoes:
I am very impressed with the ecopoxy resin system.
It is superior to any other resin I have used. It is non-toxic and has very little smell. It wets out much better than any of the other resin I have used. We worked with it at room temperature and wet out 3 layers of cloth at a time with no problem. It has no induction period so there is no chance of using it before it is ready. There is plenty of time to work with the resin before it starts setting up.

Our test shows that the ecopoxy resin system is tougher than the epoxy system that we have been using that is petrolium based. It gives a stiffer laminate but can be bent just as far before failing.
It also has better resistence to heat once it is cured.
I use 1/3 less resin and I am switching completely over to the ecopoxy product line for building and coating.
I am also going to test the top coats soon and am sure
I will also change my topcoats to the ecopoxy resin system.

Hi Randy,
Here is the picture I promised you>>>.
I did not bounce too high, I was afraid of killing myself.
Thanks,
Bob Hellman

Kirk Lombardy had this to say about EcoPoxy:
I wanted to write to you about your ecopoxy resin and hardener that I used on the refurbishing of my boat. I am the type that does not like to
use harsh chemicals that you need to dress-up like an astronaut to use.
Plus, I don't like chemicals that are bad for the environment. So, I sought out an alternative to the nasty petroleum based epoxy systems.
I found your product on the Internet and thought I would give it a try.
I have to admit, the ecopoxy product worked perfectly and the best part, there was hardly an odor and even much less than the odor of latex paint. Actually, the little bit of odor reminded me of banana nut bread. My sister told me she could hardly smell the product as well.
She
recalled the petroleum based product her husband used on their boat stunk so bad that
she could still smell it. I was concerned about the oily residue left over once the ecopoxy
and resin cured.
The residue can be easily removed with denatured alcohol. However,
there was no need to wipe the residue off before reapplying another coat of the Ecopoxy.
I used the back of the piece of plywood for the decking that had already been treated as
a work table. I coated some wood spacer strips and left them to cure on some scrap
wood pieces. The drips ran down and glued the spacers to the scraps and the cured plywood below. The result was strips of wood that were nearly impossible to remove from each other. I needed a chizzle to break the bond between the pieces. The ecopoxy is so strong and there is no need to remove the oily residue. Thanks Ecopoxy for a much safer alternative to the nasty products out there.
Regards,
Kirk
Bob Strawn from ToolMakingArt.COM:
I have been using Ecopoxy as a glue and I have had nothing but success with it. Honestly, I don't think I can smell this epoxy at any stage of it's mixing and setting. My wife was amazed at the lack of smell as well.
This makes gluing a much more pleasant experience.
It is forgiving in mix ratios, has a nice long working time and has a body just thick enough to work and spread, while being thin enough to work in.

It cures to an outrageously durable joint. Even when trying to break joints, I find the strength of the joint and surrounding wood much greater than the original wood itself. Since shelf life is not an issue with this glue,
I never want to be without some Ecopoxy handy.

Tanja Hinder from MTH Woodworks:
I would say the following... It is a great to finally have found a resin that is non abrasive, easy to handle and green. We did however, put quite some time in research and development to figure out the right
ratio and curing time that suit our products.
The biggest upside is that even if the resin cracks
or stains, it is re-fillable, machinable,
and sandable.
We also like the fact that it is completely odorless
which makes it a great pleasure to work with.
The green-factor is a total hit with our clients.
They
are simply blown away by the fact that it is made
from peanuts and soybeans, which is a great marketing catch for us.
Thank you for giving us the option to choose
a green product over a chemical version.
Thanks a lot,
Tanja Hinder

From Industrial Fiberglass Specialties Inc:
These parts were made by Filiment Winding our epoxies with different types of fiberglass strands. There was NO odor present when using EcoPoxy, after the products were dry approx. 15-24 hours, they released the finished products from the moulds with NO Problems, they then used a lathe to smooth the outside perimeter and machined the finished product by drilling holes around its outside diameter edge, there were NO signs of delamanination, peeling, blistering or cracking.

The company then hit the driled holes with a mallot to see if the product would crack or fracture on the drilled areas, again, there was NO sign of damage. EcoPoxy is very strong, durable and is made to last.

Hi Guys,
Attached are the pictures of the countertop applications made with EcoPoxy. Your product casts beautifully and is as clear as glass! I LOVE it! This week I am going to be purchasing as much as I can afford to with the prices you quoted for 2 X 45 gal of resin and 1 hardener.
I will definitely be buying from you though. Sign me up. I will call you tomorrow at 1300hrs your time and start this ball rolling.
Thank you
for introducing me to your product.
Talk to you soon,

Natural Recycled Contents used to bind materials together: Sarah Heller AIA
I am a licensed architect doing my Master's research at the University of Kentucky on the topic of material science. I am also exploring the realm of healthy and non-toxic polymers in an attempt to reinvent the materials we build our surroundings with. My understanding as an architect and my exploration of current methods of how composite materials are made leads me to believe that we are surrounding ourselves with toxic, synthetic substances whose consequences on our health have yet to be understood. These materials although amazing in their engineering have not been scrutinized on their effects to human exposure. In my search to find a healthier binding system for biocomposite materials I discovered Ecopoxy resin and have had many fruitful conversations with the president, Vincent Corsi.

I have conducted my research working with Ecopoxy and believe it to be a truly revolutionary product.
There are no toxic fumes, few VOC's, and I know that I am not exposing myself to any poisonous substances that I know to be harmful. It is also my understanding that this is the first type of resin that uses little, if any, petroleum-based substances. I imagine a day that we can decrease our dependency of fossil fuels to construct our architecture and use a product that exposes us to fewer chemicals. I highly recommend using Ecopoxy resin and I am constantly amazed at its capacity as I continue to experiment. "The resin used in the art work is the EcoPoxy Clear coat resin. I worked with this resin during an artist retreat in Big Sur, California.

I camped under the stars for 5 nights and had only your resin, some paper cups, and some masonite to work with so my resources were very primitive. I found this resin extremely easy to work with under those conditions,. That said... in the most primitive conditions the resin produced some interesting, beautiful effects, especially when I mixed in turquoise liquid acrylic.
